The Augmented Business Tool Department Programme
Build AI capability in your own people.
An augmented business tool is the route through which Genesis helps you build useful work and take ownership of it. The one-year Augmented Business Tool Department Programme combines learning, practical work and handover around your business.
Start with the work your business needs.
The programme is designed for a business where AI work crosses people, functions or recurring processes. The aim is an internal function with named responsibility, practical skills and a method for checking its work.
It starts with an Audit: a paid review of your work, people and records, followed by written findings and a plan of recommended changes, their order and who is responsible. This establishes whether the programme fits.
The Academy is Genesis's learning institution, where participants develop the skills and methods. The Augmented Business Tool Department Programme is the route through which a business applies that learning to its own work. Selection follows the Audit, with a programme shaped around the work.
The programme outline
Learn across five connected tracks.
Participants sample the five tracks before deeper work is allocated. Demonstrated work informs each person’s main and stretch track. The live mix is configured for the business.
01Workflow, automation and agents
Understand a sequence of work, connect useful steps and define checks.
02Data and analysis
Work with records, analyse them and check what the result supports.
03Creative and generative media
Produce and assess useful media within a defined brief.
04Client-facing translation and product
Turn a business need into an understandable, usable output.
05Knowledge, evaluation and quality
Organise sources, test outputs and maintain the method.
A typical year, with progress shown through work.
The outline below shows the usual shape. Individual progress follows demonstrated work, not the calendar alone. Production activity requires its own agreed scope and permission.
-
Months 1–2
Mobilisation and selection
Establish the business work, select participants and agree responsibilities.
-
Month 3
Foundation, full immersion
Build shared foundations and sample the connected disciplines.
-
Months 4–6
Track depth and first real tools
Deepen practical skills and build the first bounded tools.
-
Months 7–9
Real-workflow rollout and department branching
Extend checked work into relevant workflows and functions.
-
Months 10–12
Transfer, hardening and operating readiness
Strengthen the work, document it and prepare responsibility to transfer.
Keep the capability inside the business.
The programme develops practical work, written procedures, named owners and internal transfer. People should understand what has been built, how to check it and when to stop or ask for help.
Production is a separate decision.
Learning and building a tool do not by themselves authorise live use. Production implementation and continuing support are separately scoped and checked.
